Super-Scale Senior Administrator of Labour and Social Security
SALIHOU LABARANG was born on 1 November 1962 in Banyo in the Adamawa Region, of which he is a native, and is married with six children.
During his school and academic career, he obtained his CEPE in 1975, then his BEPC in 1979, his Probatoire A4 in 1981, his Baccalauréat A4 in 1982, his Licence en Droit in 1986 at the University of Yaoundé and a diploma at the National School of Administration and Magistracy (ENAM) in 1988.
As regards his professional career, in 1988, he was the 5th Assistant to the Provincial Inspector of Labour and Social Security of the East; in 1990, he was the 3rd Assistant to the Provincial Inspector of Labour and Social Security of the East Region. In 1995, he was appointed Deputy Director of Human Resources at the Ministry of Labour and Social Security. In 2000, he was appointed Deputy Director of Labour at the Ministry of Employment, Labour and Social Security. In 2002, he was appointed Director of Employment at the Ministry of Employment, Labour and Social Security. In 2005, he was Director of Labour Regulation at the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training, until February 2018, when he retired. During this period, he was Administrator representing Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training (MINEFOP) on the Board of Directors of the National Employment Fund (FNE). From 2016 to 2018, he was a member of the Commission Nationale de la Concurrence. On 19 February 2021, he was appointed Member of the Cameroon Human Rights Commission (CHRC) by presidential decree.
