Professor James MOUANGUE KOBILA, a role model for Cameroonian youth

The book 100 Modèles pour la jeunesse camerounaise (“100 Role Models for Cameroonian Youth”, 2nd edition) by Janvier Mballa Effa, with a foreword by the Minister of Youth and Civic Education, honors one hundred Cameroonian figures meant to inspire young people.

The President of the Cameroon Human Rights Commission, Professor James MOUANGUE KOBILA, features in it, presented as “the intellectual who made human rights his cause.”

His portrait praises the intellectual rigor, sense of state, and public service that characterize his work. It presents him as an academic who became a major figure in public governance, and who sees the law as a tool of regulation but also as a lever for development, social justice, and national cohesion. It also commends his constant efforts to bring human rights closer to citizens, to encourage institutional dialogue, and to promote a culture of respect for human dignity.
