Audience with the British High Commissioner to Cameroon: Human Rights Promotion and Protection on the Menu

He left highly satisfied following the audience granted to him by Prof James Mouangue Kobila, Chairperson of the Cameroon Human Rights Commission (CHRC) this Friday, 16 February 2024. His Excellency Barry Lowen, British High Commissioner to Cameroon, thanked his host for the warm welcome and particularly fruitful discussion. “During our conversation, we delved into the significance of upholding human rights and specifically focused on the imperative of enhancing mechanisms for the promotion of human rights. The Commission has a very crucial role to play in ensuring the protection of human rights. This is an issue of paramount importance in any country,” said the diplomat at the end of the audience, which lasted from 11:05 a.m. to 12:35 p.m.
He concluded by saying: “We will continue to share our expertise and experience to assist the Commission in its mission to promote and protect human rights”.
