Lecturer and researcher, Senior Lecturer at the Higher Teacher Training College (ENS) de Yaoundé
Prof SOULEY MANE was born on 20 March 1969 in Mbalmayo, is a native of the North Region, married and father of seven children.
A teacher-researcher and lecturer, he obtained his Baccalauréat A4 allemand in 1989. In 1992, he obtained his Licence en Histoire at the University of Yaoundé I and his Master’s degree in September 1994. He finally obtained his PhD in History at the University of Yaoundé I on 13 March 2007.
Concerning his professional activities, he is a teacher of History, Geography and Citizenship and Moral Education at the Lycée de Nkoldongo from 1995 to 2004. He was then assigned to the Government Bilingual Practising High School from 2004 to 2007. In 2011, he was appointed as a lecturer in the History Department of ENS-Yaoundé, after he was a temporary teacher and an assistant from 2007 to 2009 in the same Department.
Holder of a DIPES II, since 1994, he obtained in 2011, a Professional Master in Journalism at the Advanced School of Mass Communication (ASMAC), then in 2013, a Master II in Journalism in the same Institute.
On 19 February 2021, he was appointed Member of the Cameroon Human Rights Commission (CHRC) by Presidential Decree.
