Urbain TINGAR, the President of “Fils de Toumaï
pour la solidarité” Association (Sons of Toumai for solidarity) and two
others leaders of this association were appreciative to have been granted
audience by Prof James Kobila Mouangue, the Chairperson of the Cameroon Human
Rights Commission (CHRC), on 4 April 2024. The three-members delegation came to
present the situation of Chadian nationals in Cameroon and to establish
cooperation ties with the CHRC.
The Chairperson of the CHRC, assisted by Commissioner
Aimé Parfait Bikoro, focal point for migrants’ issues, Mr Crepin Tchindebbe, a
Senior staff member at the Chairperson’s Office, and Ms Emilienne Mvondo, a
Senior staff member at the Division for the Protection and Promotion of Human
Rights and second focal point on migrants’ issues, emphasised the strong
fraternal ties between Chad and Cameroon. They then proceeded to present the
CHRC tool box that will be mobilised to provide practical solutions and address
the specific concerns of the delegation from this Chadian association.
Concerning cooperation ties, this association was
presented the procedure to follow and the advantages it could enjoy with the
CHRC.
The young people, were fully satisfied with the
audience and expressed gratitude to Prof James Mouangue Kobila.
