On Tuesday, 18^th and Thursday, 21^st March 2024, the North West Regional Branch Office of the Cameroon Human Rights Commission (CHRC), effected inspection visits to five (5) places of deprivation of liberty in Bafut and Bamenda I Sub Divisions in Mezam Division:

– Bafut Military BIR Camp,

– Bafut Military Airport Base (501), 

– Gendarmerie Brigade Ter Bafut,

– Disarmament, Demobilization and Rehabilitation (DDR) Centre, and

– Treasure Centre for Children with intellectual Deficiencies.

The findings of the Regional Branch Office are contained in its weekly activity report for the period 18^th to 22^nd March 2024.
